J. Robert Ates is widely known as one of the leading personal injury lawyers in the Louisiana. He has obtained numerous multimillion-dollar recoveries for his injured clients. Mr. Ates has been recognized by Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, which is limited to lawyers who have achieved an AV* peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Ates is active not only in trying cases in the courtroom, but also in educating new lawyers in trial practice. He has served as Professor of Law at Tulane University School of Law and Loyola University School of Law. For many years he was the Faculty Team Leader and Program Director of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.

Paula Ates has been a professional speaker, a real estate agent, a law office administrator, and a class action database manager. She has been a lawyer since 2001. She helped start the Ates Law Firm, then went to law school, became a lawyer, and joined the Firm after serving for 3 years as a judicial law clerk.
